Alissa Flash – The new RCW Champion!
You read that right, former TNA Knockout Alissa Flash has made history by becoming the first woman to hold the top championship that’s supposed to be held by men only!
Yesterday, Saturday July 3rd, at River City Wrestling’s “Declaration of Champions” event in San Antonio, Texas, Flash was victorious in a match over RCW Champion Joey “Super Shot” Spector, and as a result became the first female to hold the top title of the independent promotion!
“What an event Declaration of Champions was! Alissa Flash is the new RCW Champion!” The official Twitter page for RCW – twitter.com/rcwforever – posted today.
Flash, who also wrestles across the indy scene, most notably for SHIMMER Women Athletes, as Cheerleader Melissa, is no stranger to breaking ground in wrestling. In 2004 she was awarded the “Future Legend Award” by the prestigious Cauliflower Alley Club, which would later become the basis of her “Future Legend” nickname in TNA, and is the only woman to receive the award.
