Melissa has finally gotten back to us with the answers for our interview with us, and it’s a really awesome read, so be sure to check it out! Huge thanks goes out to all the fans who sent in their questions, and an even bigger thanks to Melissa herself for taking time out of her busy schedule to answer these!
#1 Who was your inspiration to become a womens wrestler? (and a brilliant one at that!).
My Dad (Doug Anderson) was my first inspriation. I grew up watching him and my uncle (Bill Anderson) wrestle and attending live events together. I always enjoyed the challenge and athleticism of the in ring work. However, growing up I also loved the showman ship and glamor of Sherry Martel. Very addicting!
#2 Is there any wrestlers that you would like to work with that you haven’t yet?
Actually, I’ve been wanting to work with Ayumi for a while now. I wrestled on the same shows with her in Japan a while back and was secretly hoping that I would finally get a match with her. Hopefully one day!
#3 As far as training goes, what does it consist of for someone that’s completely fresh? I feel you’re the best person to ask, being that you have extensive training from both Japan and the United States. From what I gathered (which is not much), dojos in Japan are strict and efficient, but I’m searching for the details—the nitty-gritty, so to speak. I’m doing research for one of my stories and any information will be greatly appreciated.
When I was there months at a time, we lived in a dorm room on the second floor of the dojo. When your new, part of the duties are maintenance of the ring and facility inside and out. It also included taking care of the talent during shows like transporting their
lugguage, errands, and even cooking for them after training. That’s just a little bit right there.
#4 Do you think there’s still anything for you to learn? Any move you want to learn? Any aspect you want to improve on?
You’re always learning in the business because the business is always changing. I personally would love to train with Finlay again. I got to workout with him a little bit during WWE workout sessions. Very brilliant!
#5 Eat an Amazing Bomb, Fisherman Buster, CB4 Driver or Royal Butterfly?
Lol! None! But if I had to choose: Royal Butterfly
#6 Unfortunately you only got to face one of the Joshi girls this weekend, that being said, what did you think of her?
She was great to work with and was neat to talk to her and the other girls because we were all trained my Mariko.
#7 So you did make an appearance on WWE once in a match against Victoria. Is there any future plans we could be seeing you in a WWE ring again?
At the moment, no. But never say never. The business is always changing.
#8 After International assault being canceled, do you have other other plans to come to Australia?
I would love to come to Austraila and hope to have something worked out this year.
#9 If ARSION was still around, do you think you’d be making more trips to Japan?
Yes, I think so.
#10 Can you tell us something or things that would piss you off in a match, watching and wrestling?
Yes… Having lights go out during a match. No fun in the dark!
#11 What songs do you currently have on your playlist?
A lot!!! Lol. But loving the Fame Monster Lady Gaga album right now. My music changes a lot.
#12 Do you have any airport horror stories you’d like to share?
Airports are crazy. The worst is lugging around broken luggage or flying injured. Neither are fun.
#13 So we need you to be our tie breaker in this ongoing favorite food dispute between Kristine and Shirlz of Melina-Unlimited.Net. Do you prefer Sushi or Indian? Nikki Roxx answered this question and said Indian, Gail Kim said Sushi and Melina said both. Its
two on two so whats it going to be, Sushi or Indian?
Sushi!
